The Department of Buildings and Special Structures provides a full range of Structural Engineering services, such as:

The main focus of our work is in the design of foundations, retaining structures and full building structures. With a strategy based on strong partnerships with companies with recognized expertise in other complementary areas, VIAPONTE provides a fully-integrated Building Engineering service.
In the area of Special Structures we have acquired vast experience in subway stations, "Cut & Cover" tunnels and other structures with a strong geotechnical emphasis.
VIAPONTE also provides services on structural design for coastal and other marine works, for which we have strategic partners with complementary know-how, covering a wide range of engineering services for Ports, Harbours and Coastal Engineering works.
